Ratty

I love Ratty.
This was a bowl of prawn cocktail. Why he couldn't just stick his nose in, I don't know.


He got right in there chomping away




He needed a drink then

And ran off. Look at those long legs

At one point last night there were 5 hedgies out the back at the same time. I think from top to bottom we have Fatty, Fluffy, Twitchy and Snowy. Now I swore blind that I didn't see Snowy last night, but on looking at my pics there was no doubt that he was there. And I shone the torch to look for a white patch. I'll have to pay more attention tonight.


Wibble was the one who ran off, but I got him. There was no sign of Ratty. Which was good as he probably would have charged at all the others.


I think this is Twitchy in front and Snowy behind. But I can't really tell.

Feeding Time

Ratty and Fluffy were enjoying dinner tonight.


Fluffy did a strange "crawl" a few times.




This one's the new guy. He's a big one and is definitely not Ratty.

Snowy

Had a strange hog in the garden tonight. He looked a bit grey and with the flash you can really see the white bits. I've named him Snowy




Fluffy turned up




I later stepped outside because there was some strange noises in the distance and disturbed Snowy who was rolled up, so I took a few more pics. At first I thought it was just flattened spikes reflecting the flash, but it's the same whatever angle






Fluffy

Fluffy having a right good scratch. Perhaps I should have named him Itchy

I named this one Ratty as he looks more like a pricky rat. He is always about. It looks like he has a weepy eye, but I don't think so.

There was also a new boy. Fluffy and Snowy are small hedgehogs but this one was the same size as Ratty. In fact he had an altercation with Ratty where Ratty tried to shove him off, but this guy stood his ground so Ratty left.

Hogs and a fox

I opened the door to catch the little hog out and about.




There was a small slug on the step, so I flicked it off. The hog likes to walk along the wall and I was sat looking out the open door he stopped right under me and ate the slug. I could hear him munching and it was one of the fabbest "encounters" I've had.


Of course I had to keep snapping. I'm not sure he really noticed me.


Last night we had a bigger visitor :-)

Hogs
