I have a stream at the bottom of the garden. Then there's a slope, then a 2m high gabion wall. Then a flat bit, then a slop of about 1.5m at 1 in 1ish. At the top of this is where (I'm sure) 2 toads live.
One likes to be under the stones that hold the bird table steady. He jumped out away from me when I was mowing. A bit later on over the other side of the garden, I was pulling grass out from under some old concrete when this chap leapt out at me, knocking me back in surprise.

I'm not sure if this is the same toad as the above picture taken yesterday was over by the concrete, but the below picture was taken today under the bird table. They do have a bit of speed on them when they want to, so could possibly be the same one.
