Birds

The GSW has been around a bit more recently. I even saw him on the bird table and dropped to the floor to crawl to the window and peep over the sill.
He was also chasing other birds off the seeds on the slab. He's a very strange moving bird.

I am getting lots of sparrows down this corner of the garden. Definitely at least 3 male and I'm not sure if some of these are fledglings as well as females
The magpies have been after the fat recently
A bit of a stand-off going on
The jackdaws are so funny trying to pick the seeds up off the flat slabs. Their beaks are too big.
This goldie looks soooooooo fat.

I've just been catching up with a whole lot of your back posts and my what a lot of birds you get in your garden that I never do in mine! I would so love to see Nuthatches and Woodpeckers and don't even get any Jackdaws. We had a couple of Siskins pass through briefly last year but none this time.

Lots of interesting photos Joo.

You too, Sheila? I also have my camera on the tripod semi-permanently so that it partially hides me as I creep up.

Wish I had a GSW, Joo.
